The Annual General Meeting for Holborn & St Pancras Conservative Association was held on Monday 26th March.
Paul Barton reported on an active year for the Association with a large number of event – including two receptions at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery with Brian Coleman AM & Damian Green MP, a fantastic Christmas Party at the home of Richard Merrin, an excellent House of Commons Reception hosted by Shadow Sports & Olympics Minister Hugh Robertson MP and recently the first Policy Dinner with former Foreign Secretary Rt Hon Sir Malcolm Rifkind QC MP.
Paul Barton thanked the outgoing Secretary of the Association, Tim Crockford, for putting together the programme of events and for his work over the past year and wished him well in his move from London.
Elections for officers for 2007-8 were held and the following were elected by the meeting:
Chairman: Cllr Paul Barton
Deputy Chairman (Political): Richard Merrin
Deputy Chairman (Membership): Robert Adams
Secretary: Jim Hunkin
Treasurer: Timothy Barnes
Hon. President: Peter Horne
