Councillor Keith Sedgwick

020 7428 9936
Keith Sedgwick has been a local councilor for Gospel Oak since 2006. He has lived in your neighbourhood for seven years. He is forty-three years old, is married and has one child. Keith is a graduate, a self–employed professional tourist guide and is also a member of the country’s largest trade union. He is also a happy member of St. Dominic’s congregation.
To many local people, Keith is known for his campaigning against drug dealers and gangs in the area. This has led to him being assaulted, death threats made against him, threats made against his family, his house being attacked and graffitied, and his car tyres being slashed. Notwithstanding all of this, he has been brave enough to attend court on three separate occasions, to give evidence. On each occasion his information was critical in securing sentences against local hoodlums, most recently, one for six years.
Keith, said recently,
“I would like you to vote for me so he I continue my work against local scumbags.”

Ward Spokesperson Steve Adams

I have lived in Gospel Oak Ward for the last 25 years during which I have been involved in the local conservation area advisory committee. Whilst caring for the local environment, I have become inevitably interested in the people who also live here. Like many others I have had my rants at the Camden Council but have come to feel that it’s put up or shut up time. So I am putting myself up as a candidate in the next local council elections with a view to helping solve what I see as the shortcomings of the Council.
I am interested in value for money from our Council Tax, with expenditure focused on the real needs of our area and restricted from wasteful experiment; projects such as certain repetitive highways works that start up each year at the same time and finish far later.
I am not a career politician and am successfully practicing as an architect about half a mile from our home. I am however, at a stage when I recognise an opportunity to put back into society. I will bring the attitudes of a professional working in the private sector where I exist on my reputation and ability to bring projects to a successful conclusion. I would be joining the successful team of Conservative Councillors in Gospel Oak ward, Lulu Mitchell and Keith Sedgwick, who have both been working hard for the past years. This is my chance to take my experience and use it in caring for and developing this part of Camden.
